This letter is to give reference for work carried out by the above company on equipment both directly and indirectly under my control. All work was carried out to a good standard including safety aspects, quality of people and the work undertaken. The acceptance and interface with our systems was complied with on all projects. Projects include re-heat furnace sub structure fabrication & installation, piling machine structure fabrication & replacement and general mechanical maintenance work. Work was carried out on time and within budget.

All your workforce showed a strong commitment to health & safety, very good technical abilities, and a good work ethic. The job was completed 3 days ahead of plan without incident.The planning and execution of the many heavy lifts involved in the job was carried out with the utmost professionalism. Once again please pass on my thanks to all involved and I will have no hesitation in using G&G again on any project big or small.
Over the past few years we have used the services of G&G Engineering Mechanical Services on a number of key projects on Steel processing sites. In my experience G&G Engineering have always provided an excellent service using competent and professional tradesmen whilst working in a safe manner.Furthermore, within our business it is of paramount importance to create the right working relationship with our key suppliers and the management at G&G Engineering have continued to conduct themselves in an open and honest manner which benefits all parties and the successful execution of the project.I would have no hesitation in using their services again on future UK based site projects.
I am currently the mechanical Maintenance Engineer for teh Scunthorpe Plate Mill and have been using G&G Engineering at the Plate Mills for many years now. Due to this I have formed a very close working relationship with this company and its workforce. I have entrusted them with many of my larger Stop Period projects and are my preferred contractor to carry out both my Heavy Shear-Line Hot Leveller work, roll nest change and my Light Shear-Line leveller nest change. These nest changes are performed every other year with one of the Leveller nest change being carried out each year. The largest nest consists of a work roll, backing roll assembly and weighs a total of 35 tonnes combined weight. This work has always been carried out in the allotted time available with a high level of safety and self-supervision being brought to the projects. G&G Engineering are also entrusted to carry out full serviing of my Finishing Mill Backing Roll Chocks. These chocks and rolls are the lifeblood of the Plate Mills and require servicing to the highest standards as the Morogoil bearings fitted into these chocks have a very close tolerances. The combined weight of the chocks and rolls weigh in above 120 Tonnes and require precision lifting when being moved around the Bay. G&G also carry out my Down time maintenance in the Mill area performing task ranging from routine inspections to complex lifting of drive spindles and line-shaft assemblies. I would recommend G&G for any major projects where heavy lifting and precision engineering is a requirement.

I would just like to say the work force I was supervising at the Winter shutdown on the Lackenby Beam Mill of the G&G Engineering Team were very hard working and showed me their attention to detail was of a very high standard, they got the job done and I would hope to have them back in the very near future.
I was at a meeting at the customer site in Rotherham last Thursday to review the work undertaken during the Christmas shutdown period.The customer has asked me to convey to you their appreciation for the work carried out.They are planning to carry out further work on the T-Furnace during the summer shutdown period, changing the No.2 electrode column synchronising shaft and racks...There is also some other work they are scheduling for the N-Furnace during the summer shutdown period.Can you please reserve us some manpower for these jobs.
