The team at G&G are currently manufacturing a 65 foot, sea worthy boat in their 30,000sqft facility based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Barnsley is slap-bang in the middle of the England, (East to West, North to South) and therefore probably the furthest location that one can get from the English coastline.

However, that didn't stop Mick Grain, Managing Director of G&G from undertaking the enormous 35 tonne construction.

Mick said, "I have always had a passion for boats and when the opportunity arose to turnkey manufacture one from design through to launch, I didn't want to turn it down".

The boat currently in construction is a Dutch Cruiser Barge, designed by Andrew Wolstenholme to Category C (Sea Worthy) rating.
